Amenities at SouthWood

The community's walkable town center is just a short stroll, bike ride or golf-cart ride from residents' homes. The center features several restaurants, a church, a health club and other businesses.

The community center, located next to the pool, offers restrooms with changing areas, as well as a meeting room and catering kitchen. The center also hosts plenty of social events, classes and other enrichment activities, providing residents a chance to get to know each other.

SouthWood Pool

During a hot summer's day, few things are as refreshing as a swim in the crystal-blue waters of the pool. The SouthWood community offers a lap pool for fitness swimming and family swims, as well as a children's pool and water play area with a slide, climbing equipment and a splash bucket.

Tennis Courts

The SouthWood community's tennis courts overlook Central Park and Lake. Two lighted, hard-surface courts are available for play day or night.

Neighborhood Parks

The SouthWood community features over 1,000 acres of interconnected green space, including parks, lakes, ponds and wetlands. Residents will find parks and green spaces spread throughout the community, including the 123-acre Central Park and Central Lake, located in the heart of the development. The parks are perfect for strolling, exploring and relaxing in nature, or even dropping a fishing line in one of the lakes in hopes of snagging the "big one."

Ball House Cottages

Quaint cottages tucked amidst beautiful live oaks provide a charming setting for an overnight getaway. Relaxing in your own private cottage on the grounds of the Ball House and Cottages is the perfect ending to any day. There are five guest cottages on the grounds behind the Ball House. The cottages are perfect for overnight bookings and short term accommodations.

Ball House

The Ball House, built in 1865, is an old-Florida gem, restored to resemble its original, elegant appearance. Surrounded by rolling hills, majestic oak trees and native flowering trees, the home and grounds provide a stunning setting for weddings, meetings, weekend retreats and more. The venue can accommodate events up to 250 guests.

Tot Lot

The Tot Lot is a safe place for creative, outdoor play. The children’s playground features several structures with slides, climbing equipment and more.
