FSU/TMH Medical Campus

The St. Joe Company (JOE), along with the Florida State University (FSU) College of Medicine and Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH), is developing a health care campus on an 87-acre parcel in Panama City Beach. Plans call for the campus to feature a 100-bed hospital, an ambulatory and urgent care center and medical office buildings. The site is located just minutes from the Latitude Margaritaville Watersound active adult community. The FSU College of Medicine has plans for future research facilities at the campus and intends to study successful aging and senior living technology.

Medical Office Building Coming Soon

Construction has begun on the 80,000 square foot medical office building, which will be leased to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH), with an anticipated completion in late summer 2024 (pictured right). This building will ultimately house TMH Physician Partners – Primary Care, Tallahassee Memorial Urgent Care Center, an ambulatory surgery center, as well as cardiology and orthopedic services.

A JOE-Managed, Comprehensive Medical Campus

The medical office building is only one piece of the larger JOE-managed medical campus, which is planned to cover 87 acres in the area of State Highway 79 and Philip Griffitts Sr. Parkway. Plans include a 100-bed hospital, slated to open in late 2027, as well as additional medical office buildings based on demand. This comprehensive project will be developed over the course of several years with The St. Joe Company managing the overall campus and its continued expansion.

FSU College of Medicine

In addition to medical offices, a hospital and an ambulatory and urgent care center, the FSU/TMH Medical Campus will include opportunities for FSU researchers focused on aging and digital health, as well as residency programs and clinical rotations for FSU medical students. The FSU College of Medicine's mission is unique in that it focuses on community needs, especially through service to elder, rural, minority and underserved populations.
