Do You Know JOE?

JOE was awarded the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Regional Director's Conservation Award in 2005 for its work on the Regional General Permit.

Do You Know JOE?

JOE replaced the shell and gravel alleys in WaterColor with permeable concrete, a hard surface that allows additional stormwater treatment to occur naturally by storing the runoff in the voids of the concrete.

The Gold Standard in Green

Over the past 10 years, JOE has worked to set the highest standards for land management and environmentally sensitive development in Florida.

Our biologists, wildlife experts, foresters, architects, engineers and planners guide our land management and environmental planning process every step of the way. They continually identify and implement recognized best practices.

JOE's stewardship takes many forms, including eradicating invasive plant species, restoring wetlands, thinning forests, conducting controlled burns and developing cooperative agreements with respected partners, to give Mother Nature a hand in repopulating threatened or endangered species.

Working closely with environmental and wildlife agencies, and many national, state and local environmental and conservation organizations, JOE has a proven record of going beyond what is required.

From promoting outdoor recreation to working on large-scale watershed planning and protection, JOE is committed to preserving the best of Northwest Florida and setting the gold standard for land management and green development.
